Strategic Partnership Between the Patriarchate of Antioch and Creta Group to Promote Sustainable Development
Beirut, Lebanon – July 2024:
We are pleased to announce the signing of a significant Memorandum of Understanding between the Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East for Syrian Orthodox, represented by His Beatitude Ignatius Aphrem II, and Creta International Group, a leader in the circular economy, sustainable development, and scientific research.
The signing ceremony took place at the Patriarchal headquarters in Atchane, Lebanon, in the presence of representatives from the Private Syrian University of Antioch, the Patriarchal Mar Aphrem Syriac Development Authority, and a group of Creta’s board members and international experts from France, Greece, and Lebanon.
This strategic partnership aims to enhance cooperation in a wide range of areas, including:
- Environment and Renewable Energy: The two parties will work together to develop innovative environmental projects, such as investing in renewable energy and seeking sustainable solutions for natural resource management.
- Advanced Technology: The partnership will foster the exchange of expertise and knowledge in the field of modern technology and its application in joint projects that contribute to sustainable development.
- Education and Scientific Research: Creta Group will support the Patriarchate’s efforts in education and scientific research by providing scholarships, training programs, and encouraging innovation in relevant fields.
- Community Development: The two parties will collaborate on development projects in areas where the Patriarchate has a presence, by supporting local communities and creating job opportunities.
On this occasion, the Creta Group’s press office issued a statement saying:
