AL MIYAH CHALLENGE FOR AGRICULTURE · GLOBAL FINALIST
CRETA Group has been selected as one of six global finalists in Al Miyah Challenge for Agriculture,
launched by the Mohamed bin Zayed Water Initiative.
The Challenge attracted 846 registered teams from 54 countries. Following the selection of 21 qualifying teams, six advanced to the final stage — including CRETA.
This milestone brings our geothermal cooling approach to an international programme focused on practical water-saving solutions for agriculture.
Geothermal thinking. A purpose rooted in water.
Our work addresses a specific challenge:
reducing the water required to cool protected growing environments. By connecting geothermal engineering
with agricultural needs, we aim to support moreresilient food production in water-scarce regions.
Reaching the final stage is an important recognition of our team’s work and an opportunity to develop evidence through practical evaluation.
It reflects CRETA’s commitment to taking ideas from engineering concepts into real operating environments.
We are proud of our team and grateful to the Mohamed bin Zayed Water Initiative and all Challenge partners for their continued support throughout this journey.
